Basketball Game Preview: Sigourney Savages vs. English Valleys Bears

Sigourney has gone 9-1 against English Valleys recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Sigourney Savages will venture away from home to take on the English Valleys Bears at 7:30 p.m. English Valleys took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sigourney, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row dating back to last season, Sigourney turned things around against Belle Plaine on Tuesday. They breezed by the Plainsmen to the tune of 67-15.

Meanwhile, English Valleys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 81-37 loss at the hands of Keota.

English Valleys' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sigourney, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Sigourney against English Valleys in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 61-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sigourney since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
