Basketball Recap: Wardlaw Hartridge Falls to Johnson in First Game of Season

Wardlaw Hartridge had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 58-31 loss at the hands of the Johnson Crusaders. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in January.

Despite the defeat, Wardlaw Hartridge saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jace Greene posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Al Bell, who earned six points.

Johnson's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Wardlaw Hartridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Piscataway Vo-Tech on January 3, 2025. Johnson has already played their next game, a 65-49 win against Kennedy Memorial on the 23rd.
