Recap: Marian Mustangs vs. Brighton Bulldogs
The Marian Mustangs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Brighton by a score of 54-47.
Mckenzie Swanson went supernova for Marian, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Swanson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenley Reid, who scored nine points.
Marian pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Brighton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Marian will play host again and welcome Mercy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Stoney Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
