Lee-Scott Academy and Saint James squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lee-Scott Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Railey Langford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 12 consecutive appearances.

Lee-Scott Academy's loss dropped their record down to 26-13-1. As for Saint James, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 47-7 record this season.

Lee-Scott Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saint James, they will square off against Alabama Christian Academy at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
