Volleyball Recap: Celina Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Celina came into Saturday's game having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Odessa Bronchos by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Bronchos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Celina's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braedyn Ashworth led the charge by getting eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Ashworth has posted over her last six matches. Bella Castillo also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Celina's win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Odessa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
