Softball Recap: Hurricane Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hurricane can now relate to. They lost 16-6 to the Uintah Utes on Friday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Utes earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Ashlyn Hirschi was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Lee, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs.

The defeat snapped Hurricane's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-18 record. As for Uintah, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.

While Hurricane had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
