Softball Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Panthers vs. Saluda Tigers
Batesburg-Leesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the Saluda Tigers. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Batesburg-Leesville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chandler Bouknight, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Batesburg-Leesville's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Saluda, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Batesburg-Leesville will challenge Fox Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Predators have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Saluda, they will head out to face off against American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.59 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
