Basketball Game Preview: Watsonville Wildcatz vs. Stevenson Pirates

The Watsonville Wildcatz will take on the Stevenson Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stevenson took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Watsonville, who comes in off a win.

Watsonville will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Hollister, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Watsonville enjoyed a cozy 74-55 victory over Hollister on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcatz.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Stevenson finally came back down to earth last Monday. They fell 36-27 to Moreno Valley. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Watsonville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Stevenson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Watsonville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Stevenson in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 53-49 win.
