Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon Rams vs. Cahokia Comanches

Mt. Vernon scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past the Cahokia Comanches 24-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Taylor Desmith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Desmith was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Addie Holloway was incredible, going 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Ava Lowery was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
