Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rolling Meadows). They walked away with a 17-12 victory over the Wheeling Wildcats on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Ryan Schneider was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Callum Paisley was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Rolling Meadows' victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Wheeling, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rolling Meadows will host Conant at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeling, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fremd at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
