Softball Recap: Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

After only one run in their last match, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lake Center Christian on Wednesday. The Royals were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Tiger. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Shaye Tepley made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Tepley was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, Anna Hanko was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Layla Wayman was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
