DeMatha takes loss despite strong efforts from Charles Thomas and Ashton (ace) Meeks

Recap: DeMatha Stags vs. Imhotep Charter Panthers

After a string of six wins, the DeMatha Stags's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They lost to Imhotep Charter on the road by a decisive 58-41 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points DeMatha has scored all season.

DeMatha's loss came despite strong showings from Ashton (ace) Meeks and Charles Thomas. Meeks scored 12 points along with two steals, while Thomas scored six points along with seven rebounds. Jacob Wallace was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.

DeMatha's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Imhotep Charter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

DeMatha will be playing at home against Archbishop Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Imhotep Charter, they will head out on the road to square off against Abraham Lincoln at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Abraham Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Imhotep Charter is ranked fourth).
