Softball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Copper Canyon Aztecs, falling 20-7. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 17-16 to the Aztecs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Copper Canyon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-10.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
