Little River and Central Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Redskins will face off against the Cougars on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Little River had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Chase County 87-19. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-9.

Little River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evie Look, who shot 69% from the field on her way to 23 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Avery Lafferty, who went 7-for-11 en route to 16 points along with six boards and four steals.

Little River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Central Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Classical on Friday, taking the game 58-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Everything came up roses for Little River against Central Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-24 victory. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
