Basketball Recap: Boca Ciega Pirates vs. Keswick Christian Crusaders

Boca Ciega was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-38 loss at the hands of the Keswick Christian Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Crusaders are ranked 145th).

Despite the loss, Boca Ciega saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kamariyah Allen posted 15 points. That was a full 39.5% of Boca Ciega's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Boca Ciega wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-24 win against Hollins on the 7th. As for Keswick Christian, they will challenge Palm Harbor University at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
