South Charleston entered their tilt with Ripley on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Black Eagles, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16.

South Charleston's offense was headlined by Payton Baskin and Riley Southern, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Brianna Anderson and her six assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

South Charleston's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Ripley, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, South Charleston is taking a road trip to square off against St. Albans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ripley, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Chapmanville Regional on the 28th.
