Basketball Recap: Eukarya Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Eukarya Christian Academy came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 63-28 loss at the hands of the Immanuel Christian Warriors. The Lions were down 49-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Immanuel Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Mornan, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Mornan a new career-high in steals (eight). Another player making a difference was Isaac Pinkley, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Eukarya Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Immanuel Christian, their record is now 3-1.

Eukarya Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wakefield Country Day at 5:45 p.m. on January 14, 2026. As for Immanuel Christian, they will challenge Seton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
