Basketball Recap: Kennedy Memorial Takes a Loss

Kennedy Memorial lost against Metuchen back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Kennedy Memorial Mustangs took a hard 59-45 fall against the Metuchen Bulldogs. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Metuchen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Hayes-Durina out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Hayes-Durina a new career-high in rebounds. Jason Woods was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Kennedy Memorial dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Metuchen, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Kennedy Memorial has already played their next contest (against Calvary Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Metuchen will take on Edison at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
