Baseball Recap: Willows Honkers vs. Pierce Bears
Willows came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pierce Bears a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. For the Honkers, this counts as revenge for the 9-3 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.
Charles Squier made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, Kellan Ramsey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024.
