Basketball Recap: Mcqueen's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for McQueen, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-49 win over the Carson Senators on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lancers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McQueen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Hancock, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Hancock is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Abram Carpenter, who went 6 of 8 en route to 13 points and seven boards.

McQueen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

McQueen now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Carson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

McQueen will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Galena at 7:30 p.m. McQueen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season. As for Carson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-18 defeat against Spanish Springs on the 20th.
