Preview: Van Horn Falcons vs. Barstow Knights
Van Horn and Barstow are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Van Horn Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Barstow Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Van Horn has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They beat University Academy Charter on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 74-54.
Meanwhile, Barstow waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 64-37 victory over Summit Christian Academy at home. Barstow has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Van Horn has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-15 record this season. As for Barstow, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.
Van Horn and Barstow were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Van Horn came up empty-handed after a 55-54 defeat. Can Van Horn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
