Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Union's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Union was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ben Lomond on Friday. Union never let Ben Lomond get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. Considering the Cougars have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Union got a massive performance out of Mollee Rasmussen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Kadyn Kettle was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Rasmussen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Union is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Union Cougars take on South Summit Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union's pitchers better be ready for this one: South Summit has averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Ben Lomond, they will take on American Leadership Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
