Preview: Clinch County Panthers vs. Charlton County Indians

Clinch County is 9-1 against Charlton County since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Both teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Clinch County strolled past Atkinson County with points to spare, taking the game 65-51. The win made it back-to-back wins for Clinch County.

Charlton County posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They skirted past Lanier County 40-38.

Charlton County found their leader in underclassman Trenity Hamilton, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Hamilton hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Makayla Lambert was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.

Clinch County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Charlton County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Clinch County was able to grind out a solid victory over Charlton County when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 54-41. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Charlton County's Makaylah Garard, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Now that she won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Clinch County to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
