Basketball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

Sequoyah lost against Fort Gibson back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sequoyah Indians had to suffer through a 86-51 loss at the hands of the Fort Gibson Tigers.

Sequoyah's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Fort Gibson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Sequoyah will take on Okemah at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Okemah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Sequoyah likes a good challenge. As for Fort Gibson, they will face off against Wagoner at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Gibson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
