Football Recap: Carver Starts Season with Win Against Southwest Dekalb

Carver had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 12-7 victory over Southwest DeKalb. That's more bragging rights for Carver, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Corey Fletcher threw for 118 yards on eight of 15 attempts. Terrious Favors was his top target, picking up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Carver will face off against Luella at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest DeKalb, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chamblee at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
