Volleyball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If St. Anne-Pacelli was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Strong Rock Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Brookstone Cougars on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered against the Cougars since October 7, 2022.

While St. Anne-Pacelli ultimately came up short, they really made Brookstone work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, St. Anne-Pacelli saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Allie Vickery had ten digs and three assists. Vickery has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

St. Anne-Pacelli's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-3. As for Brookstone, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

St. Anne-Pacelli will take on Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookstone, they will challenge Carrollton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
