Baseball Game Preview: Waubonsie Valley Warriors vs. Naperville North Huskies

For the second straight game, Waubonsie Valley will face off against Naperville North. The Warriors will square off against the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waubonsie Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Waubonsie Valley nor Naperville North made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Huskies.

For Naperville North's part, Yash Desai was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Desai also tossed two walks, which is notable because the Huskies are 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 8-11 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Naperville North and nudges their season record down to 10-12. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Waubonsie Valley, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.
