Weslaco East managed to keep up with Porter until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Weslaco East Wildcats came up short against the Porter Cowboys, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now lost seven in a row.

Weslaco East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-2. As for Porter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Weslaco East has already played their next game (against Donna North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Porter will face off against Harlingen South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlingen South will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Porter surely won't give up without a fight.
