Volleyball Recap: Intermountain Christian Falls Short of San Juan in the Playoffs

Intermountain Christian and San Juan squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Intermountain Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Broncos, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2018.

Leading San Juan to victory were Averie Gilson and Sadie Palmer. Gilson had six digs and two aces, while Palmer had two aces and one assist.

Intermountain Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for San Juan, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.

Intermountain Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Parowan on the 24th. As for San Juan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against South Sevier on the 24th.
