Preview: Newcastle Dogies vs. Moorcroft Wolves
The Newcastle Dogies will head out on the road to challenge the Moorcroft Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Newcastle is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Newcastle came up short against Rawlins and fell 44-31. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Newcastle in their matchups with Rawlins: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Moorcroft's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. The match between them and Glenrock wasn't particularly close, with Moorcroft falling 70-52.
Newcastle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Moorcroft, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Newcastle took their win against Moorcroft when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 61-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newcastle since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
