Football Recap: Bigfork Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bigfork dropped to 5-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 22-21 to the Whitefish Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings & Valkyries of the 24-21 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Bigfork didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Dane Carlsen led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

As for Whitefish, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games.

A big part of Whitefish's victory came down to the chemistry between Luke Dalen and his top target Vlad Shestak. Dalen rushed for 39 yards and one TD while Shestak picked up 48 receiving yards and one score.

As of now, neither Bigfork nor Whitefish have any future games scheduled.
