Baseball Recap: Woodmont Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Woodmont dropped their record down to 11-15 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They lost 15-0 to the Riverside Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-0 defeat on Tuesday.

As for Riverside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-15. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.

For Riverside's part, they got a great performance from Bryce Baxter as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Baxter has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cooper Noble, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Nolan Grabiec, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

As of now, neither Woodmont nor Riverside have any future games scheduled.
