Franklin Academy lost against Pine Crest back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Franklin Academy lost 3-0 to Pine Crest. Franklin Academy's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Franklin Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Pine Crest's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-22.

Luis Albert paced Franklin Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Albert got some help from Alexander Noda and his 19 assists. Noda also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Enrique Fernadez, racking up two apiece.

Franklin Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pine Crest, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Pine Crest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against David Posnack Jewish Day on the 24th. Hopefully Franklin Academy payed attention to Pine Crest's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Pine Crest at 4:30 p.m. on April 2.
