After losing to Garden Spot the last time they met, Exeter Township decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Exeter Township was the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Garden Spot on Monday. The Eagles' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Jake Hafer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Hafer was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brenton Feathers, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brandon Weller, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Exeter Township always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garden Spot only posted an OBP of .176.

Exeter Township's record now sits at 3-0. As for Garden Spot, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Exeter Township is taking a road trip to face off against Wilson at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Exeter Township's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Garden Spot, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Solanco at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Solanco will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Garden Spot surely won't give up without a fight.
