It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kingwood Park had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Brenham Cubs. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on five straight.
Kingwood Park let Kevin Rios and Nicholas Slonaker run wild. Rios went 2-for-3 with one run and one double, while Slonaker went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Rios has posted since back in February of 2024. Griffin Resendez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
