South Walton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 50-9 win over the Freeport Bulldogs. That looming 50-9 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Seahawks yet this season.

William Justiss had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 178 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also threw for two yards and one touchdown. Those 178 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Gabe Parenton also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

South Walton didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Freeport to a completion percentage of just 44%. The team can thank John-Ryan Bastion for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for South Walton; they were averaging 62.4%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 62.4%.

South Walton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Connor Rooney. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last nine games he's played dating back to last season. South Walton got some further help from Jackson Moffatt: he picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles.

South Walton's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Freeport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Coming up, South Walton will face off against Wakulla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The War Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Seahawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Freeport, they will head out to face off against Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
