Basketball Recap: North Brunswick Comes Up Short at Home Against South Brunswick

North Brunswick unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the South Brunswick Cougars 62-30 on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Leading South Brunswick to victory were Meryn Deutsch and Adyson Bell. Deutsch went 11-for-20 en route to 26 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals, while Bell almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. The contest was Bell's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelsy Jones, who posted ten points and eight boards.

The victory got South Brunswick back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Brunswick will host East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Brunswick, they will be playing at home against East Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
