Baseball Recap: Galena Falls Short Against Ranked Reno

Galena faced Reno in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 back in March.

Galena's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Reno, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Galena didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-4 victory against Reed on the 15th. As for Reno, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against McQueen on the 15th.
