Softball Recap: Spring Mills Comes Up Short

After flying high against Berkeley Springs on Monday, Spring Mills came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell 9-4 to the Musselman Applemen on Tuesday. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Applemen earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Spring Mills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Munson, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Spring Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Musselman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11-1 record this season.

Spring Mills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-6 win against Mercersburg Academy on the 30th. As for Musselman, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-9 loss against Clarke County on the 30th.
