Cedaredge put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to the Peyton Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-18 victory. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Panthers are ranked 169th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Cedaredge to victory were Carley Malinowski and Sammy Denison. Malinowski dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds, while Denison shot 60% from beyond the arc to rack up 18 points and three steals. Denison is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Abby Brooks was another key player, as she made all 5 shots she took for 11 points.

Cedaredge was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peyton only four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Peyton lost, don't look at Sammie Nickell. Despite the final result, she posted nine points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Nickell a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was ArRhiya Brown, who put up two points and six rebounds.

Cedaredge pushed their record up to 23-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. As for Peyton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.
