Baseball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Kennedy took on Linn-Mar on Friday. The Cougars took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on Friday.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Linn-Mar, they pushed their record up to 16-15 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will host Waterloo West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wahawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.55 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Linn-Mar, they will be playing at home against Wahlert at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
