Softball Recap: Miami Christian Victors vs. Marathon Dolphins

Miami Christian extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Marathon. They never let the Marathon Dolphins onto the board and left with a 17-0 victory. Considering Miami Christian has won ten games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Abril Gomez looked comfortable as she pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Miami Christian let Romina Casillas and Maria Hernandez loose on the outfield. Casillas scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all two of her plate appearances, while Hernandez scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Valeria Vazquez, who scored a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
