Niles was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Bronson. This was payback for Niles, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Niles had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 16-25, 25-16, 25-17, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Bronson lost, don't look at Hadley Wagaman. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and four aces. Wagaman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Niles has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-18 record this season. As for Bronson, they dropped their record down to 26-16-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Niles has already played their next contest (against Bridgman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bronson, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Portage Northern on the 29th.
