Volleyball Recap: Harvard Takes a Loss

Harvard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Johnsburg Skyhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-7.

Leading Johnsburg to victory were Maddie Mays and Kaylee Pyles. Mays had six aces, while Pyles had two aces. Those six aces gave Mays a new career-high.

Harvard's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Johnsburg, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Harvard has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Woodstock on the 24th. As for Johnsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Richmond-Burton on the 24th.
