Softball Game Preview: Valley Head Tigers vs. Coosa Christian Conquerors

For the second straight game, Valley Head will face off against Coosa Christian. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Conquerors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Valley Head proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Coosa Christian, sneaking past 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Conquerors: they've now won three in a row.

Adleigh Lockett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Valley Head saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Harrison, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Lexi Coffman was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Coosa Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-12. As for Valley Head, their win bumped their record up to 9-19-2.
