With a playoff win on the line, Southlake Carroll rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past the Prosper Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. The win was just business as usual for the Dragons, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.

Southlake Carroll got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Angelo Renda out in front who threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 72 yards. Brock Boyd was another key receiver, picking up 126 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Southlake Carroll didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gavin Strange, Parker Harris, and Austin Bussmann picked up one apiece.

Southlake Carroll's record now sits at 13-0. As for Prosper, they moved to 11-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Southlake Carroll will take on Guyer at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so the Dragons' offense will have their work cut out for them. Prosper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
