Basketball Recap: Fontainebleau's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Fontainebleau came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down the Chalmette Owls 54-39 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.

Laderricka Payne continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Leila Neal was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 10 points and six boards.

Fontainebleau's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-16. As for Chalmette, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Northshore the next time they take the court. Chalmette will host Northshore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fontainebleau will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
