Baseball Recap: Many Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Many ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Red River Bulldogs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since February 15th.

Tuffy Cutrer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since March 3rd. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Cole O'Con was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Many is 2-1 when O'Con posts two or more stolen bases, but 10-11 otherwise.

Many pushed their record up to 12-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Red River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-10-1.

Many will have a chance to go back-to-back against Red River: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
