Football Recap: Estes Park Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Estes Park extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were beaten by the Platte Valley Broncos 44-0. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 63-6 to the Broncos when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harry Oberg threw for 57 yards on six of 26 attempts. Colby O'Brien was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards.

As for Platte Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 8.75 yards per carry in those games compared to only 0.9 in the others.

Regan Edstrom went supernova, throwing for 159 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Platte Valley's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Coincidentally, Estes Park and Platte Valley will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the field. The Broncos will host the Saints at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
