Caldwell found their leader in underclassman Mayzi Witherwax, who had 16 digs. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Witherwax.
Meanwhile, La Grange didn't have quite enough to beat Giddings on Friday and fell 3-2. The Leopards have struggled against the Buffaloes recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
