Having struggled with three losses in a row, Caldwell finally turned things around against Smithville on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2.

Caldwell found their leader in underclassman Mayzi Witherwax, who had 16 digs. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Witherwax.
